Hi, I’m Deborah Sumner, founder of SumnerCo. As a CPA, I have over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting across multiple industries spanning the US and Canada.
I’ve worked directly with founders and executive teams to implement accounting systems, streamline processes, and provide controller-level oversight that supports growth and decision-making.
I’ve lived and worked in both the US and Canada. I’ve led first-time audits, implemented revenue recognition processes, managed cap tables, and built month-end reporting, and I’ve seen firsthand how messy operations can get when the finance function is neglected in the early stages.
